]]> MORE has recently secured two important orders from leading steel producers in the United States for the supply of CATFIS 2.1 sampling and measuring lance manipulators, designed to operate directly through the slag door of electric arc furnaces.

The CATFIS 2.1 system is a multi-axis manipulator developed to perform critical EAF operations such as sampling and temperature measurement while keeping operators away from hazardous areas on the melting floor.

Thanks to its compact structure and flexible configuration, the system can be installed even in constrained spaces while maintaining full control of movements and trajectories.

Designed specifically for the harsh environment of steelmaking plants, CATFIS 2.1 ensures reliability, fast cycle times and simplified maintenance.

Cosa farai

La risorsa sarà coinvolta nella progettazione meccanica di pacchetti tecnologici per l’industria siderurgica e si occuperà in particolare di:

  • Progettazione e sviluppo di componenti e sistemi meccanici tramite software CAD/CAE
  • Redazione di analisi di fattibilità, studi di installazione, valutazioni dei costi e definizione delle soluzioni tecniche
  • Collaborazione con il team di ingegneria per garantire la conformità ai requisiti del cliente e alle normative di settore
  • Calcoli strutturali, dimensionamenti e analisi FEM
  • Supporto al reparto produttivo durante le fasi di costruzione, assemblaggio e factory test
  • Partecipazione alle revisioni di progetto e alle attività di miglioramento continuo
     

Cosa chiediamo

Competenze tecniche e requisiti:

  • Esperienza di almeno 2 anni nel ruolo di progettista meccanico, preferibilmente in ambito siderurgico o industriale
  • Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria (preferibilmente Meccanica)
  • Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese
  • Buona conoscenza del pacchetto Office e di software CAD/CAE (preferibile AutoCAD e SolidWorks)
  • Gradita esperienza con sistemi PDM per la gestione dei dati CAD
  • Disponibilità a trasferte in ambito nazionale e internazionale

Mechanical Designer

What you will do

You will be involved in the mechanical design of technological packages for the steel industry, with a focus on the following activities:

  • Design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD/CAE software
  • Preparation of feasibility studies, installation layouts, cost evaluations and definition of technical solutions
  • Collaboration with the engineering team to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Structural calculations, sizing activities and FEM analysis
  • Support to the production department during construction, assembly and factory testing phases
  • Active participation in design reviews and continuous improvement activities
     

What you will do

Technical Skills and Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, preferably in the steel or industrial sector
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD/CAE tools (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred)
  • Previous experience with PDM systems for CAD data management is a plus
  • Availability to travel nationally and internationally
