Siderpotenza (Potenza, Italy) has successfully commissioned the MORE CATFIS automatic temperature and sampling manipulator which operates through the slag door in their 130t EAF.

The CATFIS is a manipulator designed to measure temperature, carbon/oxygen contents and take samples for steel chemical analysis automatically without having to power-off the furnace.
