A major US steelmaker has successfully commissioned two Electric Arc Furnaces powered by the MORE Chemical Energy Package.

Each EAF is equipped with: supersonic oxygen injectors, carbon injectors, copper bulged blocks with the FLASH-STOP backfire prevention system, oxygen/natural gas valve stands, carbon dispensers, and automation.

This technology extends the automatic control of the EAF melting process from charging to tapping, boosting reliability and reducing transformation costs.

With these two EAFs, MORE now has its chemical energy package in over 30 EAFs across the USA, with additional systems under construction for new micro mills in California and West Virginia.
